The school of Design of the Politecnico di Milano, together with Deign Department and the Poli.Design Consortium has invited its students to take part in a competition dedicated to a Paper Knife Project.
An Independent jury composed by Giulio Iacchetti, Alberto Meda and Alessandro Mendini has chosen twentyseven best projects out of 300 proposals which prototypes was shown at Salone Satellite during the Milano Design Week 2014.
Absynthessence is a peper knife made by a simple sheet of paper.
The paper is the main character of the essence of the object; Absynthessence comes from the idea to use the paper to knife itself, it is an harmless material but sometimes it reveals sharp.
